1. STUDENT SERVICES
1.1 Office of the Coordinator of Student Affairs
The Coordinator of Student Affairs (COSA) is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and evaluating the different programs pertaining to student activities and affairs in view of integrating theory and practice.
1.2 Office of the Prefect of Discipline
1.2.1 The Prefect of Discipline assists the President in enforcing the general discipline, order and regularly among students in view of integrating theory and practice, accomplishing the mission and implementing the thrust of the school
1.2.2 The POD ensures the implementation of the CODE of CONDUCT of students in full force and effect.
1.2.3 The POD has jurisdiction over minor offenses. He has the duty to conduct a preliminary inquiry and to prosecute formal charges before the Discipline Board duly appointed by the President in cases of major offenses. He is, however, independent and has no participation in the deliberations of the board. The Discipline Board is composed of five duly appointed members, namely: the department year level adviser to which the charged student belongs; a duly designated member, who shall act and preside as Chairperson; the President of the Supreme Student Council; the President of the Department organization to which the charged student belongs; and advocate of the student, who must be a personnel or an alumna/alumnus of the college.
1.2.4 The POD, upon receipt of a verbal complaint or written report of misconduct of any student, shall conduct an informal inquiry of the charge filed against the student. For this purpose, notice shall be furnished to the student. For this purpose, notice shall be furnished to the student requiring him/her to answer the charge and/or to appear for an interview before the POD within 48 hours from receipt of notice. Except in meritorious cases, failure of the student to answer the charge and/or to appear during the preliminary inquiry shall be construed as waiver thereof.
1.2.5 In cases where a thorough investigation may be required, the case may be referred to the Disciplinary Board which shall be properly convened to hear and try the case guaranteeing the charged student his right to due process.
1.2.6 He shall sit in the Academic Council and if the need arises, with the Administrative Council.
1.3 Mother Rita Barcelo Outreach Center (MRBOC)
The MRBOC Program is an expression of our solidarity with the poor. It is meant to nurture service orientation and to raise the level of social consciousness and commitment to the entire school community even as it helps support the process of empowerment of the people towards a better quality of life.
1.4 College Guidance and Counseling Center
1.4.1 The College Guidance and Counseling Center provides an opportunity for the development of student potentials in terms of spiritual, academic, personal, and social commitment to the community.
1.4.2 The College Counselor coordinates with college faculty members in the implementation of college guidance services.
1.4.3 The Office has the following essential guidance services to help the school achieve its educational objectives in a highly functional manner.
1.4.4 Incoming freshmen and transferees are required to undergo entrance examination and initial interview facilitated by the college counselor in the Guidance Center prior enrolment.
1.4.5 All college students must fill-up individual inventory folder during enrolment which serves as reference in rendering guidance and counseling services.
1.4.6 Any students who would like to request for counseling must seek appointment schedule in the Guidance Center before sessions must be set.
1.4.7 Behavioral cases must be referred to the college counselor by the college instructor/subject teacher, department head, Prefect of Discipline, or any concerned person in the college. This is to provide proper coordination in giving appropriate intervention with regards to the difficulties encountered by a particular college student.
1.5 Medical and Dental Clinic
The school has a medical/dental clinic to address the health needs of the students in times of emergencies. Students are attended to by two full-time nurses, a part-time physician and a part-time dentist. One full-time nurse acts as Officer-in-Charge of the clinic.
1.6 Canteen and Food Services
The school operates a canteen to provide adequate food service to students, faculty, and other school personnel. It caters to the school needs from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The LCC-P has a library for college students which houses college books and references in their latest editions, newspapers, professional magazines, and vertical files for the student’s and faculty’s use.
